BayonetGames Accepting Preorders on Warfighter Series Re-Release Set MONDAY, 25 February 2008, 0800 EST BAYONETGAMES ANNOUNCES COMBINED RE-RELEASE WARFIGHTER-SERIES BOXED GAME Raleigh, NC, 25 February 2008 - BayonetGames announces the preorder of Warfighter: World of Conflict, a combined re-release of two previous Warfighter games from designer Brant Guillory. World of Conflict is currently available on P500 for $15. World of Conflict combines BayonetGames' earlier Warfighter games The Guards and Maneuver Warrior into a new package that features new scenarios, reconfigured maps, and the new Warfighter v3 rules. Only 150 copies of this game will be produced, and pre-orders will be filled before retail orders. Where the original games features legal-sized geomorphic maps, this new box has stitched them together into 3 large mapsheets (2 woodland and 1 desert). In additional to the new scenarios, the previous scenarios have also been re-done to support the new layouts. In short, the only components truly 'recycled' from the previous games are the counters. The Warfighter series brings modern maneuver combat to the tabletop at the tactical level. Units are platoons and sections, with some individual vehicles and leaders. Counters are a robust 7/8" square, with values for firepower, armor, range, and movement, plus the occasional frontal armor of zone of control. Maps are designed to correspond to US military maps, replacing 1000m grid squares with large hexes. Scenarios are written as 5-paragraph-style Operations Orders, which are kept under wraps so neither player knows his opponents' exact mission. Warfighter: World of Conflict will ship with over 200 counters, 3 maps, Warfighter v3 rules plus the modular rules book, two scenario books, and players references in a solid box. P500 orders are $15 on a $35 game (save $20 over retail). All of BayonetGames products are available at www.bayonetgames.com, where blank forms and bonus maps can also be downloaded.
